Creating a Swift Wardrobe

With less than a month until the biggest tour of the year swans into Scotland’s biggest venue, you Swifties have a very important job to do – pick an outfit.

Worldwide tours. Who doesn’t love them? As our favourite artists hop from stadium to stadium, we save up more than a weeks’ wage just to make sure we are part of the action. Personally, besides the main event of course, strutting about in a perfectly picked outfit is the highlight of any concert.

But, when you’re an unorganised girlie like me, you’re left racing from town to town the day before the event, trying to piece together the outfit you’ve been planning in your head for the last four months. And just when you think you’ve finally found what you think you’re looking for, you realise the co-ord is not coordinating, the accessories have already snapped and the only bag you have will ruin the entire aesthetic.

Now, I know I am not the only one leaving this stressful task until last minute. And with only four weeks until The Eras Tour reaches Scotland, those without an outfit sorted will be shaking in their cowgirl boots. But, there’s no need to panic, because Blether Magazine is here to help!

Where To Find The Perfect Pieces?

With 10 very different eras to choose from, creating an outfit may seem a little overwhelming. You’ve probably already scoured the internet trying to find the perfect piece, and left with 15 tabs open on the same, but different, items. Wouldn’t it be so much easier if there was just one website with everything we needed? Well, there is (kind of).

The Eras Tour Wardrobe, which is a website created and updated by a Taylor Swift fan, “exists to help Swifties shortcut the search for their outfit.”

O, the founder of the Wardrobe, explained “in order to do that, I’ve [taken] a wide range of clothes and split them into each of Taylor’s eras and their aesthetics, based on current collections from brands like ASOS, Pull&Bear and Cider, amongst others. So, all you need to do is choose an era, pick an outfit and get it straight from the source.”

The Swiftie has been running this site single-handedly, alongside her full time job, since July last year. She told Blether: “As I was crossing all my fingers to get a Ticketmaster code, I knew if I got a ticket I would want to go all out for the concert, just like everyone else.”

After securing a ticket O began browsing online for fun, “I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great if there was a place where I could buy clothes through specific eras rather than specific items. I couldn’t find it, so I created it myself,” she said.

With a massive amount of support from fellow fans, O makes sure that the website is updated regularly: “It’s a bit of a test of patience but it’s all worth it. I posted about it on TikTok, and less than 24 hours later, it already had 1 million views,” she said. “It was my very first TikTok post, so to say I was shocked would be an understatement, never in a million years would I have expected such a positive response,” O added.

As she continues to provide extensive outfit inspo, O admitted she doesn’t even have an outfit for the tour herself: “I’m actually not quite sure what I’ll be wearing just yet, the irony! But hey, at least I’ve got a place to go for inspiration,” she joked.

What’s Everyone Else Wearing?

Although we want to be original, we also want to know what everyone else is wearing before we fully commit to buying a full outfit. We asked some Scottish Swifites to share their plans - just in case you are still stuck for ideas:
